Day One: Well as is the case in most road-trip stories, after saying good-bye to the families (both at our houses and at the office where two of our moms work) and praying with our families… twice… we got out a little later then we had hoped but were blessed by very little traffic and ended up in Fresno around 10 pm. Not bad!!! Along the way we talked a bit and sang along to Sarah’s AMAZING collection of music on her ipod. Being that it is only the first six-ish hours of our journey on the road there wasn’t anything too eventful. Once in Fresno we found that our gracious host had left us a little fun money to add to our pot! What a wonderful surprise! Then we sat down and worked out a little more of the plan, made a few phone calls, tweaked the plan a bit and then decided it was time for bed since we have a LONG drive ahead of us (possibly 13 hours… if we take a slight detour along the way otherwise it will be only 10 hours… only 10… geez…). On the agenda for tomorrow… well today actually… Redwood trees, California and Oregon coast with a final destination of Sarah’s uncles home in South Beach Oregon! WOOT WOOT! Sounds like it’s going to be a scenic day with hopefully plenty of photos and videos to follow! See ya in Oregon!
